The other cast members will portray former high school classmates Franco playing Xavier, once a dorky high school drama student, now a famous pop star and actor Glazer portrays Chelsea, the former high school valedictorian and class president Richardson will play Aniq, a loveable escape room designer with hopes to reconnect with his high school crush, Zoe Chao stars as Zoe, a former artist turned school administrator who is newly separated from her high school sweetheart Barinholtz is Brett, Zoe’s ex-husband, an arrogant, former high school athlete Schwartz will star as Yasper, Aniq’s relentlessly positive best friend who dreams of a career in music and finally, Demetrious as Walt – ignored throughout high school, he attends the reunion with hopes to be remembered. Haddish will star as Detective Danner, the eccentric detective assigned to resolve the case, who must also simultaneously manage her overly-enthusiastic partner, Detective Culp, played by Early. Starring alongside Haddish, Franco and Glazer are Sam Richardson ( Veep), Zoë Chao ( Love Life), Ben Schwartz ( Parks and Recreation), Ike Barinholtz ( The Mindy Project), Jamie Demetriou ( Fleabag) and John Early ( Search Party).

Every episode will have a unique and specific visual format and film genre to match each storyteller's personality.

#THE AFTERPARTY CAST SERIES#

The eight-episode series will be set at a high school reunion afterparty – with each episode structured as a retelling of the same night's mysterious events told through a different character's perspective. Produced by Academy Award, BAFTA and Golden Globe Award winners Chris Miller and Phil Lord, The Afterparty will also see Miller assume the role of creator and showrunner.
